The Greater Yakima Girls Youth Softball Association was formed to provide opportunities for girls, aged 6 -18, to play softball. The organization supports a league with teams in four divisions: 8u, 10u, 12u, and 14u.

GYGSA sponsors 7 major tournaments a year with girls in all divisions playing against other teams from around the Pacific Northwest states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Western Montana.
